MY WHY
I WANT TO REVOLUTIONIZE HOW BUSINESSES DO CONNECTION
Hi, my name is Nathaniel Viets-VanLear, and something I know to be true is this… I like to help people, and so many people have helped me along the way.
My success as a community activist and organizer is not just the result of my hard work but of the community that has invested in me. It was through them that I witnessed ways that we can support one another that are neither transactional nor condescending. It was those relationships that have led me to believe that when organizations work in tandem with communities in need, the results can be transformative for both sides.
I was drawn to the non-profit field and consulting because our communities need support, and they deserve the kind of investment I was given as a young man. With the right tools and strategy, we have the power to fill that gap.
NVV Values
We believe that acts of service, when centered on community conversation and mutuality, can benefit everyone involved.
Purpose can be found through connection;
A strategy should be intentional so that we do not cause unintentional harm when we engage with communities;
Giving can be meaningful, sustainable, and have a long-lasting impact.
Transforming how we go about any of this can be fun!
OUR APPROACH
Standard approaches don't motivate or inspire us. Training should not be an endless series of slides and figures.
With NVV facilitations, we take a more creative approach by digging into music, art, games, and icebreakers as ways to invite people to have fun while taking them out of their comfort zone.
